Why we exist
Public-safety infrastructure has always been one-sided. CCTV networks watch; the public is watched. When something goes wrong on the ground, there has been no clean way for the people there to signal that help is needed.
Personal alarms ring out into networks the user does not trust. Phone calls take time the user may not have. Apps that exist do not reach the trained operators already watching.
We build E-SAF because the gap between watcher and watched is the gap where harm happens. Closing it does not require new infrastructure — the cameras exist, the operators exist, the phones exist. It requires software that connects them. That is what we are doing.

Ashley Howles founded Signal One Safe in 2025 to build the platform he believes public spaces have been waiting for. He has spent his career in public-safety technology and brings hands-on experience from operational deployments across the UK.
He remains close to the day-to-day operational reality that the platform is built to serve, and works directly with control room operators, local authority teams, and frontline support services on every part of the product.
